Mugwort, Rosemary & Yarrow Anointing Oil (Fresh Harvest)

I hand infused Mugwort, Rosemary and Yarrow from my garden into organic cold pressed olive oil. What came through is a surprisingly potent aroma with potent energy.

🌿 Mugwort, Rosemary & Yarrow :: is made with hand harvested mugwort, rosemary and yarrow. I also infused this one with cold pressed olive oil. All three of these herbs are known to be protective to the body and the subtle body. Mugwort can open up visions and protect us in the dream world, its also know to strengthen femeinine energy in every way. Rosemary is helpful for memory and recalling. It also helps with circulation. Yarrow is a blood mover and is a powerful first aid herb. Many use it for protection physically and energetically. The scent is aromatic, minty, sweet, pine and sage like.

Alchemical Correspondences of Mugwort (Artemisia)

“What is Venus, but the Artemisia that grows in your garden?” – Paracelsus

"I’ve long thought of Mugwort as a lunar plant because of its influence on dreaming, sleep, and the subconscious. However, after considering its medicinal and energetic qualities, I think Mugwort is more accurately ruled by Venus, which is indeed in agreement with Culpeper as well as Paracelsus.  

Known as “the great relaxant,” plants ruled by Venus are relaxant, antispasmodic, calm the nervous system, and have an affinity for the female reproductive system. Venus-ruled plants are often emmenagogues, and in this case even more so through Mugwort’s influence on the higher regulatory systems in the brain and the resulting hormonal cascades. 

Mugwort is ruled by the Air Element, which you can see through its effects on the nervous system and its ability to relax wind, tension, and spasm. This herb mobilizes stuck energy, similar to how the wind moves and disperses things. Lastly, you can see the Air Element correspondence in the way Mugwort grows. It starts low and bushy on the ground and then reaches up and out, dispersing its volatile oil compounds in the air as it grows. 

Mugwort has a very cardinal quality, otherwise known as the Sulfur Principle in alchemy. It is very rich in volatile oils, which you can easily distill. In the alchemical tradition, Sulfur rules the essential oils in a plant. It is this quality that grants Mugwort its warming and pitta-like qualities, driving blood flow, circulation, and providing a stimulant quality to the nerves."

How to anoint: Anointing for me is all about merging spirit & matter into the now moment. Giving us a space in time to align with Source, our guides and angels & our very own higher knowing. As I breathe in the scent I feel loving thoughts about my self and my world. I then take some of the oil & dap (I think that's a word lol) on my forehead breathing a deep breathe in I say "I align with loving thoughts". I place by my eyes, breathing a deep breathe in & say "I see with loving eyes". I place on my lips & say "I speak loving words" I place near my ears and say "I hear through a loving filter". I'll then place on all the places I want to bring more love through: my heart, my chakras, my root, then my feet & hands, top of head then around my entire aura like a cleansing swoop. Then I lay my hands in prayer position & take some more mindful slow breathes. Feeling the love that I am. The love that we are. Being a conduit that then attracts love & radiates it out into her surroundings ✨
